Igor Mirutenko, master in Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan, is coming to Cluj

Just a few days before the beginning of the World Fudokan Championship in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, the organizers have announced that they are waiting for a very special guest among the top performers in martial arts: from Belarus, Minsk, Igor Mirutenko will be joining the athletes on the tatami here, at Cluj-Napoca.

Over 2000 athletes from 44 confirmed countries will have the opportunity to watch live their favorite performers, Karateka and Sensei that are renowned worldwide in various fields of the martial arts.

Six-times World Champion and twenty-one times European Champion at Karate Fudokan, multiple national champion of Belarus, World and European Champion at Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan, 5 Dan Fudokan Karate and 4 Dan Tesshinkan Kobudo, Igor Mirutenko has an impressive record, and his story is directly linked to the Karate tradition he taught from Sensei Serghei Mirutenko – 8 Dan, an inspiration from him ever since he was only a little child.

The name Mirutenko is known and appreciated in the international world of the martial arts, especially for the passion and dedication with which it is connected to their performance in Kobudo. Ryukyu Kobudo represents a field of the Okinawan Kobudo – which is actually the oldest weapon system used in Okinawa in karate.

Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan means the study of specific weapons in Okinawan martial arts, a very strong tradition of over 400 years which remains deeply respected and practiced by the current martial arts performers.
