WHY?

Because, when you travel, the place you put your head at rest can be either a bliss or a bummer. So, are you looking for a fuzzy, cosy, friendly place? Well, your search stops here! You just found it. The Spot Cosy Hostel is located 15 minutes (by foot) away from Cluj-Napoca’s city centre. Located in a historical house built in the ‘20s, it was restored with our own crafty hands in the second half of 2014. The result is sort of a perfect imperfection, with the feel of a boutique-design place.

The Hostel is now prepared to host guests and offer all amenities required. The rooms perfectly combine the specific, antique look with modern, comfortable beds and chic wardrobes. In the common area you can find our living room – we’re positive that you’d never get tired of its countless surprises. By its side there’s the hostel’s cute, fully equipped kitchen. The backyard wander is a 8600 square feet garden, full of the earth goodies and cosy hammocks, where all our guests can lay back and relax or enjoy one of our frequent outside cooking sessions. We are very happy to have the splendid Central Park just five minutes (by foot) away from the hostel. So, if you are a nature lover, this is definitely the place to be.

WHO?

We are a team of young, passionate people, born and raised in the town of Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania. We don’t like the word “staff”, because we are just like one big family (pets included, of course: Eko the lab, Frenc the pug and Fredi the cat). Everyone involved in making the hostel a cosy, welcoming place for our guests is either us, the creators of this project, or our closest friends. As being all locals, finding authentic tips & tricks about our town is just one question away.

WHAT? 

A chill-out hostel. We are not a party hostel. No worries, though, we can guide you to the greatest party experiences in our town. You can practice your best moves on one of our Xbox Kinect dance games. Your hangover can then be sweetened with a warm tea or a hot cup of coffee on our cosy living room couch. You can watch a movie on our semi-big ass screen TV or treat your ears with some good old vinyl records. Why not read a book from our library in front of the fire place (harsh winter evenings) or outside in a hammock (sweaty summer days)? Stretch your muscles with a Twister game or your mind with one of the board games at hand. If it’s warm outside, you can enjoy our big garden. Grab a beer or a fresh lemonade and maybe you’re in luck during your stay to savour one of our often barbecues or goulash sessions, drowned in “palinca”.
